Title: Functional Materials and Interfaces by Computational Design
Dr. Walsh & Dr. Butler work in the area of computational materials science. They are young and energetic researchers who have solved physical problems, particularly for solar energy conversion using using atomistic computer simulations. In this lecture, they will present recent results on the energies of electrons in conductive metal oxides and how they can be controlled at materials interfaces. Their work on the kesterite class of thin-film photovoltaics will also be addressed.

英国 バース大学のウォルシュ博士とバトラー博士に電気伝導性酸化物の界面における電子状態制御に関する理論的なアプローチを紹介していただきます. 両博士は若くして, 独創性のある研究分野を確立された研究者ですので, 世界的な競争の現場を紹介していただける良い機会となります. 講義は英語にて行われます.
