About

The Spintech conference was initiated in Hawaii (2001) with the objective of highlighting the latest developments in using spin-dependent phenomena in nanoelectornics.

Since its inception, it has become a bi-annual event that attracts top researches from the field. Previous Spintech conferences have been held in -

• 2001 Hawaii, USA (Initiated)
• 2003 Brugge, Belgium
• 2005 Awagi Island, Hyogo, Japan
• 2007 Hawaii, USA
• 2009 Cracow, Poland

The schools held prior to the main conferences have been beneficial in orienting students and budding researchers to the field. The unique combination of school and conference make Spintech events the perfect venue where researchers from the world over can mingle and have constructive discussions.

In 2011, Spintech6 aims to continue the tradition in Matsue, Japan - also known as the home of Ancient Japan.
