Neutral Modes in Fractional Quantum Hall Regimes

The quantum Hall effect (QHE) is a canonical example of 2D topological phases. Being incompressible in the bulk, available low-energy charged excitations are only at the edge: gapless chiral 1D edge channels. Various collective phenomena can emerge when interactions take place between coexisting multiple edge channels. Recently, there is a surge of energy transport therein upon an observation of upstream neutral edge modes, arising from the interacting channels, in so-called hole-like fractional QHEs (FQHEs), which remained elusive despite of an early theoretical prediction. In this talk, I will describe such neutral modes detected via shot noise measurements. Surprisingly, they were found not only in the hole-like FQHEs, as theoretically expected, but also in particle-like FQHEs and, furthermore, in the bulk. Our result presents a new picture of energy transport in FQHE.<\/p>\n

\u91cf\u5b50\u30db\u30fc\u30eb\u52b9\u679c\u306f\u30c8\u30dd\u30ed\u30b8\u30ab\u30eb\u96fb\u5b50\u76f8\u306e\u5178\u578b\u4f8b\u3067\u3042\u308b\u3002\u30a8\u30cd\u30eb\u30ae\u30fc\u30ae\u30e3\u30c3\u30d7\u306e\u305f\u3081\u30d0\u30eb\u30af\u304c\u975e\u5727\u7e2e\u6027\u3092\u6301\u3064\u305f\u3081\u3001\u4f4e\u30a8\u30cd\u30eb\u30ae\u30fc\u52b1\u8d77\u306f\u30a8\u30c3\u30b8\u306b\u306e\u307f\u30ab\u30a4\u30e9\u30eb\u30a8\u30c3\u30b8\u30c1\u30e3\u30cd\u30eb\u3068\u3057\u3066\u5b58\u5728\u3057\u3001\uff11\u6b21\u5143\u96fb\u5b50\u7cfb\u3092\u5b9f\u73fe\u3059\u308b\u3002\u305d\u306e\u3088\u3046\u306a\u30a8\u30c3\u30b8\u30c1\u30e3\u30cd\u30eb\u304c\u8907\u6570\u5b58\u5728\u3057\u3001\u30c1\u30e3\u30cd\u30eb\u9593\u306b\u76f8\u4e92\u4f5c\u7528\u304c\u5b58\u5728\u3059\u308b\u3068\u3001\u69d8\u3005\u306a\u96c6\u56e3\u52b1\u8d77\u304c\u751f\u6210\u3059\u308b\u3002\u91cf\u5b50\u30db\u30fc\u30eb\u7cfb\u3067\u306e\u96fb\u8377\u8f38\u9001\u304c\u7cbe\u529b\u7684\u306b\u7814\u7a76\u3055\u308c\u3066\u6765\u305f\u4e00\u65b9\u3067\u3001\u6628\u4eca\u3001\u3044\u308f\u3086\u308b\u30db\u30fc\u30eb\u5171\u5f79\u5206\u6570\u91cf\u5b50\u30db\u30fc\u30eb\u7cfb\u3067\u5bfe\u5411\u30c1\u30e3\u30cd\u30eb\u9593\u306e\u76f8\u4e92\u4f5c\u7528\u306b\u8d77\u56e0\u3059\u308b\u9006\u6d41\u4e2d\u6027\u30a8\u30c3\u30b8\u30e2\u30fc\u30c9\u304c\u89b3\u6e2c\u3055\u308c\u3066\u4ee5\u6765\u3001\u91cf\u5b50\u30db\u30fc\u30eb\u7cfb\u3067\u306e\u30a8\u30cd\u30eb\u30ae\u30fc\u8f38\u9001\u304c\u6ce8\u76ee\u3055\u308c\u3066\u3044\u308b\u3002\u7406\u8ad6\u7684\u306a\u4e88\u6e2c\u306f\uff12\uff10\u5e74\u7a0b\u524d\u304b\u3089\u3055\u308c\u3066\u3044\u305f\u3082\u306e\u306e\u3001\u96fb\u8377\u8f38\u9001\u306b\u6bd4\u3079\u691c\u51fa\u306e\u56f0\u96e3\u3055\u306e\u305f\u3081\u3001\u89b3\u6e2c\u306f\u3064\u3044\u6700\u8fd1\u306b\u306a\u3063\u3066\u304b\u3089\u3067\u3042\u3063\u305f\u3002\u3053\u306e\u30bb\u30df\u30ca\u30fc\u3067\u306f\u30b7\u30e7\u30c3\u30c8\u30ce\u30a4\u30ba\u6e2c\u5b9a\u7528\u3044\u305f\u4e2d\u6027\u30e2\u30fc\u30c9\u306e\u691c\u51fa\u5b9f\u9a13\u3092\u7d39\u4ecb\u3059\u308b\u3002\u89b3\u6e2c\u7d50\u679c\u306f\u3001\u7406\u8ad6\u7684\u306a\u4e88\u6e2c\u306e\u7bc4\u7587\u306b\u7559\u307e\u3089\u305a\u3001\u91cf\u5b50\u30db\u30fc\u30eb\u7cfb\u306e\u65b0\u305f\u306a\u30a8\u30cd\u30eb\u30ae\u30fc\u8f38\u9001\u306e\u63cf\u50cf\u3092\u4f9b\u3059\u308b\u3002\u5341\u5206\u306a\u5c0e\u5165\u90e8\u3082\u76db\u308a\u8fbc\u3080\u4e88\u5b9a\u306a\u306e\u3067\u3001\u5b66\u90e8\u751f\u306e\u65b9\u3005\u306b\u3082\u53c2\u52a0\u3057\u3066\u9802\u3051\u308b\u3068\u5e78\u3044\u3067\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n
